    The Combination Approach To Feeding

The Combination Approach To Feeding Although you can get commercial food for your Golden Retriever, the ideal way to feed is to use a combination approach of both commercial food and fresh people foods. Most commercial food is good for your Golden, although it lacks nutrients and vitamins that fresh food has. Vets will tell you that fresh food is good, providing you don’t overdo it. Golden Retrievers love fresh food as well, as they can smell it a mile away. If it smells good to them they’ll want it. Most commercial foods will offer your Golden great sources of protein and vitamins, although fresh food contains far more essential sources. Chicken and meat for instance, have far more protein and minerals than any type of commercial dog food. Fish is another great choice, as it contains a lot of the protein your dog needs to maintain a healthy brain. All dogs are well within the capacity of staying healthy, although you need to provide them with the minerals they need. Each dog is an individual, meaning that you can’t continue to feed him the same food on a daily basis. Golden Retrievers love people food, and they also love variety. What they need one day may vary the next, so you should always mix it up a bit and give them something different each day. To be on the safe side, you should give your Golden a little bit of everything. This way, he will get everything he needs with his diet. When you design the diet for your growing Golden Retriever, you should always make sure to include animal protein. This is very important for your Golden, as he has to have it. Without animal protein, your dog will find himself literally struggling to stay healthy. To keep your Golden Retriever healthy, it is very important that he gets quality nutrition. Although quality nutrition is very important, you should never him eat so much that he gains weight too fast. If you monitor his diet and know exactly what you are feeding him, he should remain in his weight class. Sometimes this can be hard to help though, especially if your Golden starts to develop allergies to a certain type of food. If you ever have any questions regarding the diet of your Golden Retriever, you shouldn’t hesitate to ask your vet. Your vet could make some recommendations for you, even tell you the best type of commercial food for your dog. Depending on his individual needs, what he requires may be totally different than what another dog needs. As long as you keep your dog on a healthy diet and make sure he gets the food he needs he should grow to be a healthy dog with plenty of energy. PPPPP (word count 458)

    Are Your Eating Habits Healthy

Healthy eating is one of those things that everyone wants to do, but no one is quite sure how to. Food companies all want you to believe that all you have to do to be healthy is buy whatever you’re selling, and people will pay high prices for ‘health in a bottle’ type products. The reality of healthy eating, however, is much more complicated than that. The key to healthy eating is one little word: balance. You need to balance all the different food groups in your diet (that’s diet as in things you eat, not diet as in weight loss). That means carbohydrates, fats and proteins should all feature equally in each meal you eat. Start paying attention to the backs of labels, where it should be clearly marked how much of each nutrient your food contains, and steer clear of foods that are very high in any one thing unless you are planning to mix them with something else to make a meal. The average person eats too much carbohydrate (in the form of sugar and pasta) and fat (unhealthy snacks), but nowhere near enough protein. If you want to balance your diet, in most cases, the first thing you should do is cut back on the sweets and snacks and eat more meat and dairy instead – it might sound obvious, but it is surprising how people will go out of their way to balance their meals and then ruin it all with snacks. Apart from carbohydrates, proteins and fats, the other things you need to worry about are vitamins. Most vitamins are necessary in at least small quantities for your body to function properly. While it might seem tempting to just take vitamin pills, it is pointlessly expensive when you could just as easily eat fruit and vegetables and get all your vitamins that way. Also, don’t skip breakfast, as most cereals have many vitamins added and can be a good way to make sure you get enough.

Wedding 101 Should You Rent A Limousine

A wedding is a ceremony that celebrates the beginning of a marriage or civil union, and is considered one of the most important events in life, as well as a perfect opportunity to perform a traditional ceremony and celebrate with friends and family. Costs to creating the perfect wedding may vary, some may wish to stick to the traditional church wedding types, and others may go for unique or otherwise adventurous stuff like getting married on roller coasters or balloons, bungee jumping right after tying the knot, or cruising around town on wedding limousines, replete with “just married” signs, balloons and confetti. Getting everything ready for your wedding could be a very stressful episode, but the secret to making it is a success is professional planning; there are lots of tips and articles on ensuring the wedding itself is a success, but there are others too that are dedicated to the wedding party celebrations. For starters, the average cost of a wedding in the United States, as of 2007, is $28,000. This is twice the cost of getting married in 1990. The wedding industry currently nets an average of $161 billion dollars yearly, according to Rebecca Mead, author of "One Perfect Day. Most wouldn’t mind splurging on what they consider to be “once in a lifetime” occasions however, so acquiring the service of a limousine firm should definitely add more elegance to a wedding, notwithstanding the extra costs. Most couples would agree that arriving to your wedding ceremony in luxury and comfort is tops in the agenda. Arriving there in an appropriately colored and stylish limousine should do the trick, as most limousines offered for hire are meticulously maintained with a complimentary bar and friendly chauffeurs. On the average, a wedding limousine service would usually cost around $120/hour, and some offer an extra hour promo. Limousine service can vary with it’s price level. The most simple and basic wedding limousine service will include the limousine, driver and beverages. When it comes to the driver, make sure that the rental company provides a uniformed driver for the wedding. The last thing is that one would want a chauffeur to be dressed in casual slacks and a T shirts. Checking on the limo’s appearance also matters. Couples should ensure that the service includes, if it does, important extras such as, “Just Married” signs, balloons, bowties, red royal wedding carpet, interior decoration, flowers, champagne stands, wedding march air horns, which the service provider may charge as extra customizations. Arriving in a beautiful limousine surely adds sparkle to that final touch to a picture perfect wedding. Choosing a limousine company that is professional and experienced is very crucial. Couples are definitely advised to reserve their choice limousines in advance. Unless one is familiar with the limousine company and their vehicles, take the time to check on the available options and physically inspect the vehicle. Confirm the dress code for the chauffeur, since you would prefer a fully trained professional chauffeur. Limousines are generally rated as 6, 8, or 10 passenger types, so be sure to ask for the year and make of the limousine. Also, consider the size of your party and the gowns when hiring your limousine. Most companies have a three hour minimum, and rental costs generally range from $45.00 to $65.00 per hour, and some suggest a gratuity of 20% for the chauffeur.

Beating The Winter Blues In Aruba

While snow is falling throughout the U. S., the Caribbean island of Aruba is enjoying never ending summer. With an average annual temperature of 82°F (28°C), visitors are guaranteed a balmy climate regardless of season. In fact, no month has an average high temperature lower than 85°F (29°C) or higher than 89°F (32°C). Low temperatures typically range from 76°F (24°C) to 80°F (27°C), allowing visitors to enjoy the nightlife all year long. Yet, because so many of us suffer the winter blues at home, the travel season from December to April is the best time to take advantage of Aruba’s amazing climate. Though Aruba lies close to the equator, a consistent eastern trade wind cools the island and prevents storms from hovering over the island. As a result, Aruba averages a mere 18 inches of precipitation a year, with most rain falling between October and January. This trade wind also creates impeccable conditions on the eastern coast for sports such as windsurfing. On the other hand, the calm waters of the western coast are great for scuba diving and snorkeling. The sun even rises and sets at nearly the same time every day, allowing visitors to enjoy a majestic Caribbean site any time of year. Perhaps best of all, the island is never threatened by tropical storms. One of the biggest advantages of visiting Aruba during January and February is the ongoing Carnival celebration. Beginning with the New Year, Carnival is a nonstop festival highlighted by parades, live music and unique cultural performances. The Carnival celebration peaks with the Grand Parade now in its 53rd year on the Sunday before Ash Wednesday. If you were wondering just how important Carnival is in Aruba, take note that the island has declared the following Monday a national day of rest! These winter months are also a great time to explore Aruba’s Arikok National Park, a one of a kind nature preserve covering nearly 20% of the island. With miles of hiking trails and numerous exotic species you won’t see anywhere else, Arikok National Park is an essential stop on your Aruba vacation regardless of when you visit. Though it may seem strange to lie out on the beach in mid February, that is exactly what makes Aruba so enticing. Aruba's beaches regularly rank among the cleanest, widest and most beautiful in the Caribbean. On the island’s southwestern coast, travelers will find one beach after another, each with its own unique atmosphere and diverse activities. Nearly all of the beaches are public and plenty offer water sports equipment, swimming and diving. In addition to outstanding shopping opportunities, Aruba’s capital Oranjestad features a number of unique museums and historic sites. Oranjestad is, in fact, a bustling colonial capital during the high season, with plenty of tours and activities available. Outside the capital, you will find a wealth of historic architecture and remnants of Aruba’s colonial past. As Aruba’s high season corresponds with the States’ winter months, activities can be harder to find in the summer. Yet, the tourism off season – from April until the beginning of the winter holiday season – can be a great time for families and budget conscious travelers to visit Aruba, as plenty of discounts are available. However, keep in mind that some tour operators may have limited or no service during parts of the off season, while stores and restaurants generally close earlier. Aruba’s summer months are also enjoyed by more European and South American visitors, though Americans are still the most represented tourist group. A winter escape to Aruba can be a dream come true for Americans trapped in the snow. Every season in Aruba will deliver great weather and great fun.

    What Is Money

Copyright 2006 David Brown What is money? In today’s article you will learn what money is. In today’s world we all use money on a day to day basis. Have you ever stopped to think what money in fact is? • Money is a source of exchange • It has a unit of account Money is a source of exchange. All throughout history there has been an exchange system in place. One example is Rome back in 550 B. C.E, salt was exchanged for goods. Originally a conch shell, which is a marine mollusc with a large brightly coloured spiral, was used in exchange for goods. Here is the point. Any object can be used in exchange for goods. When this object is used to trade goods, it is a medium of exchange. When trust is built up in this object it leads it to become important and valued. It then becomes a “money system”. What about the object we use today? As we have just said, salt was exchanged for goods; today we use coins and notes. These coins and notes are recognised “objects” which are accepted in society and trusted. This leads on to the second point. Money is a unit of account. What does this mean? It is how the “object” is measured or valued It is what it is worth. For example, a car sales person wants to sell a second hand car. He puts a value on the car for Ј2000. A customer walks into the car show room and asks “how much”. Ј2000 answers the sales man. This price has become the unit of account; it is valued or measured at that price. In other cultures the unit of measurement may be a different object. For example if goats is the trusted “object” for the exchange, then instead of that motor car having a market value of Ј2000 it could be worth 100 goats! • It is a store of value • Money is not real The third point is money must be a store of value. The “object” must have a market value that can be stored for future use. For example, a man who sells lap tops has in his possession one hundred lap tops which he can sell for future trade. This is beneficial for him because he has a store of market value, when he sells the lap tops he will add value to his business and himself. Maybe you keep a cash box at home. The currency in the box holds market value and can be used in a future date. The currency is a store of value. Is money real? Here’s the thing, money is not real. Why is this fact? We have already discussed that money systems are only “objects” which are trusted and accepted. If you lived in a culture where goats were the “object of exchange” would you view them as real money? Money is the body of value. This value is decided within ourselves. For example, take two people. One man loves the old silent movies the other man does not. They are both offered an original silent movie film. The film buff is so excited at the thought of owning this film he offers Ј1000 to buy it. The other man offers Ј10 because he does not hold any value to the item. See the difference; it comes down to internal value on an item. If money was real they would have the same value. Also read back to the first three questions, it mentions about the personal value on an object.

How To Eat Between Meals And Still Lose Weight

Unlike other, more restrictive diet plans, snacking is a perfectly acceptable part of a low carbohydrate diet—provided your snacks are all found on the low carb list. Snacking is not only okay, it’s also beneficial in many ways. Eating small amounts over the course of a day has been shown to speed up the body’s metabolism, burning fat more quickly and efficiently. Also, snacking helps prevent hunger pains, which can drive even the most disciplined dieter to cheat or overeat at the next meal. Without using snacks as a safety net, dieters will be more tempted to pick at restricted foods and just about anything else that comes their way. That said, snacking—like everything else—should be done in moderation. Just because a food is found on the low carb list does not mean it is okay to eat as much of it as you want. Consult your low carb list to see how many carbohydrates are in a serving of the food(s) you wish to have as a snack, and be sure that the total amount of carbohydrates fits within your daily allowance. A food makes it onto the low carb list because one serving is low carb, not an unlimited amount. There are plenty of foods on the low carb list that make good snack choices. All meats and cheeses have virtually no carbohydrates, so they are acceptable selections even in large amounts. Try a cold cut platter and/or an assortment of cheese cubes to sample from throughout the day. And who says a leg of lamb or some buffalo wings aren’t great for snacking? Melt some cheese over a drumstick, serve up bacon and sausage, or make meatballs. Don’t forget eggs—hard boiled, scrambled, over easy, egg salad, the choices are limitless! Other good snack items from the low carb list with almost no carbohydrates include lettuce, alfalfa sprouts, celery, and cucumbers. Combine these with other foods from different categories of the low carb list to make a delicious salad. For example, throw in some cheddar cheese cubes with some nuts (be sure to check the low carb list to determine which nuts have less carbs) and top with olive oil. Or enjoy a chicken Caesar salad. Choices from the low carb list that are good snack foods, but in moderation, include many vegetables. Avoid potatoes, squash, and carrots, as these are high in carbohydrates. However, a veggie platter with broccoli, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, peas, and string beans, either or cooked or raw, topped with real butter can make a filling treat. Most beans make a delicious and easy snack, and go well with veggies, like celery bits. Or, try making chicken or tomato soup, or beef stew, for a filling afternoon. With the right recipe, almost any food can qualify for the low carb list! Search online for low carb recipes for muffins, breads, and even gooey desserts. Once you’ve tried a few successful recipes, experiment and see what new low carb foods you can create.

Tips To Buy Your Mountain Bike Wheels

Before going out on your mission to buy a new mountain bike all you need is to ensure that you have the money to invest in quality parts which have some specific features. This is because quality products result in a good quality mountain bike as well as a comfortable ride. Mountain bike wheels is one such part of a mountain bike which requires attention to detail. The purchase of mountain bikes does not have to be a difficult mission. Hunting for a quality bike keeping specific features in mind is a good idea. Deciding the features such as the suspension, whether dual or single, the type of steel and the type of frame, whether carbon fiber or titanium, the type of brakes whether disc or rim can help you set your criteria for your dream mountain bike. Similarly mountain bike wheels are also an important feature. Specific attention is to be paid to the rims of the wheel, the traction of the tire and the choice of whether you want a tubeless or some other kind of tire. Rims Taking the right decision regarding the rims is very important and thus must be done with lot of consideration and thought. Your mountain bike wheels are mounted on rims and thus this feature requires your special attention before your invest. While purchasing wheel rims the concept is the same as any other purchase, quality products mean more expense but result in a good and sensible investment. Therefore the more you invest in your wheel rim the better it will be for your bike. Wheel rims are generally constructed using steel or aluminum. Rims consist of spokes, and nipples and if you buy a good quality rim it will have fewer spokes, trick spoke lacing as well as hidden nipples. The raised attachments on the rim of the wheel which are used to connect the spokes to the rim are termed as rim nipples. Traction Traction is the next important feature to attend to while buying your new mountain bike. Traction helps to generate the grip between the bike and the course surface. Therefore if the biker is used to ride on difficult trails he should ensure that the traction of his bike is adaptable to such type of trails. Tires also have treads and prominent treads allow better traction and thus result in better grip of the tire with the surface. Treads may have deep patterns or may also be pattern less and plain. There are also tires with detailed treads which are very prominent and these are very useful for the biker because of the grip they provide. Tubeless The type of tire that the biker wants really depends on his choice. The option of tubeless tires available nowadays is preferred since it eliminates the common problem of a puncture. These common punctures are caused when the hard rim presses against the inner tube and such punctures are aptly termed as pinch flat. Tubeless tires can be operated on low tire pressure allowing better speed, improved traction and easy and comfortable riding.

Running Your Own Business The Options

Very few people ever got rich by working for someone else. Leaving aside pop musicians, sportsmen and similarly gifted people, the only way to acquire wealth by work is to build a business of your own. The type of business you decide upon will depend on: a) how much money you have available as start up capital and working capital; b) your business idea; and c) your confidence level. There are three types of business: 1) the traditional one in which you are reliant solely on your own efforts; 2) a franchise where you follow a proven idea and receive considerable training and back up from the franchise company; and 3) network marketing. Each business type has its pros and cons. • The traditional business requires considerable financial input, either from your own resources or part funded by your bank. You may need to rent premises; buy equipment; hire staff; pay for advertising, brochures, stationery, and stock. A frighteningly high percentage of this type of business fails in the first year. To succeed you need: a good idea, considerable financial backing, good health, an understanding spouse, and stamina. If you do succeed you will own the business outright and benefit from all the profits. • Franchises have a high success rate. Banks like them because each franchise operation has a proven track record and thus the banks can accurately judge the risk, consequently they will lend money for this sort of start up. However, all the support and training comes at a price: the initial entrance fee is likely to be very high, and a percentage of the business’s turnover has to be paid to the franchise company. • Network marketing, also known as multi level marketing, has many advantages and few disadvantages. The entrance fee is low and the ongoing expenses are even lower. A network marketing business can be started in your spare time – in fact that is the best way to approach it. Start small, and keep at it. The secret is perseverance, get past the first year and you should find the business has a sound foundation from which you can build a serious income. It is said that 95% of those who survive ten years in network marketing become wealthy beyond their wildest expectations. So which type of business is for you? If you wish to provide a service or product where you have previous experience from, say, a former employment, the traditional business will be probably be the best choice. However, if you are just tired of working for someone else and making them rich and wish to strike out on your own, then a franchise or network marketing must be the preferred option. The choice then is determined chiefly by the funds you have access to, and the time and effort you wish to put into your enterprise. A franchise will require substantial funds and 100% commitment. You are jumping in at the deep end, although the franchise company will provide training and support to help you to swim. On the other hand you can ease yourself gently into network marketing by starting part time while you continue with your current employment, building your business by ploughing back profits if necessary. Persevere and there will come a time when the income from your own business will be sufficient to support you financially. You will then be able to leave your employment and concentrate on your business, spending more time on it or enjoying considerable free time with your family.

    What Is A Metal Detector

As the name suggests a Metal Detector is a kind of instrument, which is used to detect metal with the help of electromagnetic induction. It helps in the detection of land mines, weapons like knives or guns at airports, in treasure hunting or in archeology. It can also be helpful in detecting foreign bodies in food. Construction industries find it useful in detecting steel reinforcing bars present in concretes, pipes, or wires in walls and floors. It can sense any electrically conductive piece of metal. Metal detectors came into being around the end of the 19th century. Metal detectors have many applications. In archeology metal detectors are of good help. But in some countries like France and Sweden law prohibits metal detectors, but with special permission it can be used. In spite of all these restrictions the contribution of metal detectors in this area cannot be denied. A good example is the utilization of these detectors to inspect wide areas like sites of battlefields, where the only remains could be the surface, scattered with metal objects. Some times people use consumer metal detectors to find coins on the beach as their hobby. Generally in the following types of hobbyist activities metal detectors are used. Coin Shooting, searching for coins, mainly old coins. Prospecting, searching for precious metals like gold or silver Relic Hunting, searching for any thing that has any historical significance, like weapons. Treasure Hunting, searching for hidden items. For security purpose metal detectors are of great help. In airports this is used in great extent as it helps to detect any dangerous items carried by passengers that can cause harm to others, especially weapons, One should know the right procedure of using a metal detector. Here are certain vital steps for using a metal detector: The very first thing, that is needed to take care of is tuning. This means the detector must be adjusted so that it can recognize the ground as a channel for the targets to be inside. Sometimes however the devise posses a self tuning trait installed. After this one is ready to go for the search of the targets, coins, treasure or anything. The placement of the loop is also very important. To get the best functioning it should be held at arms length along with the loop and it should be barely above the ground and the loop must always be in motion for best result. While searching with the detector one should move at a slow pace.

    Yoga And Weight Loss

Copyright 2006 Donovan Baldwin Many people in America today try all sorts of things in pursuit of healthy, permanent weight loss. Unfortunately, they mainly seem to try fad diets, diet pills, celebrity diets, the grapefruit diet...you name it. In fact, stick an adjective or noun in front of the word "diet", and you might be the creator of the next diet craze. While someone might temporarily lose a few pounds with a "diet", diets are not successful when it comes to permanent weight loss and healthy weight loss. As they say, I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that there IS a known and proven way to achieve significant, healthy, permanent weight loss. More good news is that, although some modification to what you presently like to eat will be necessary, extremely drastic changes are seldom required. Oh, yes, you might have to learn to substitute something you don't like that much right now for something you do like, but, in time, you can get accustomed to this, and even learn to like the new flavors and foods. I know. I've been there. The bad news is that, along with modifications to your eating habits, you are going to have to become more active. Dare I say it....? You will have to exercise! The benefits of exercise is an article in itself, and I have written elsewhere about how exercise can take many forms, so there is no need to lock yourself into an unpleasant or painful exercise regimen. What I really want to do here is give a small pitch for the practice of yoga as my exercise program of choice. Remember, however, my exercise program of choice might not be yours. As much as I like yoga, you will have to decide if yoga is right for you. Before I speak specifically about yoga, let's just list some of the known benefits of regular exercise in general. Exercise... >Reduces the risk or affects of many illnesses and conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, stroke, arthritis, high blood pressure, and osteoporosis to name a few. Some studies even show possible reductions in the risk for some cancers. >Elevates mood and reduces depression. >Helps maintain healthy bones, muscles, joints, and nervous system. >Delays affects of ageing, making seniors more mobile and self sufficient and less likely to fall prey to injury or illness. >Reduces risk of premature death (sounds like a big one to me). >Helps maintain a healthy weight. Okay, since any good exercise program can provide these benefits, what does yoga have to offer that makes it special? In addition to providing the basic benefits of exercise in general, yoga does have a few specific things going for it. 1. Despite the apparently agonizing contortions seen in every yoga book, the benefit is in the attempt to achieve the position. The models in the books arrived at their present level of ability over time, and many a skilled practitioner of yoga today began in the same shape you're in right now. It is okay to modify a position or to come out of it a little early if your body is not ready yet. The regular practice of your best version of the movement or position (asana), combined with yoga breathing techniques (easily learned) will produce progress over time. 2. No personal trainer or special equipment is needed, nor is it necessary to go to the gym or even out in public at all. You can do yoga naked if you don't have a pair of gym shorts, and a carpet is just as good as a yoga mat...at least at first. Yoga is actually so simple that it CAN be learned from a book, although it certainly wouldn't hurt to get guidance or training from a certified instructor. 3. Yoga is relaxing and relieves stress. Not only is this of great personal value in today's world, but if any part of your weight loss problem is stress related, and I can almost guarantee some relationship, the stress relief offered by yoga can ease that portion of your weight loss journey. 4. In addition to being good for your health for several reasons, simply learning yoga breathing and practicing it regularly can help you burn fat. 5. As you begin to progress in your ability to better perform yoga poses (asanas) you will notice a sense of control, of mastery of life and self, which will become more evident. This new inner strength will aid you in facing difficulties, including temptations concerning eating and your new eating behaviors. You will also find yourself more forgiving, not only of others, but of yourself as well, and when you slide a little, you will be better able to shrug it off and get back on your path to success. 6. With more progress in your yoga practice, you will begin to experience new feelings of health, strength, and well being. These feelings will in turn motivate you to take even more control of your life so that you can continue your progress with no desire or temptation to return to the way things used to be. Analyzing A Nursing Continuing Education Opportunity

Continuing Education (CE) is vital for the further development of a nursing career, but you shouldn’t choose just any courses to add to your credentials. Each CE program that you choose should enhance your knowledge, make you a more valuable employee and further you on your career path. Evaluating your nursing continuing education opportunities for each of the following criteria can help you choose just the right courses to keep you on the right career and professional path. Is the Course Relevant to my Job? Choose courses that enhance your ability to do your job. If your current position is in the school nursing environment, a continuing education course about the latest advances in ER technology isn’t likely to have much relevance to your job. On the other hand, some courses that seem to be irrelevant on the surface may have subtle connections that aren’t obvious at first glance. Is some of your school nursing time spent in a full service on campus clinic? In that case, that emergency room CE course may just offer something of value. Does it Enhance my Career Opportunities? Even if you’re content in your position and have no plans to seek advancement, you should evaluate how a chosen continuing education course fits into your plans. The world of medicine changes every day, and so do expectations of nursing professionals. Keep your eye on advances in your chosen segment of the nursing field to be sure that the courses you choose keep you qualified for the jobs to which you aspire. Is the Course Accredited? If your main goal in taking nursing continuing education courses is to garner CE hours toward recertification or licensure, then accreditation is vital. Check to be sure that the courses you choose are accredited by The American Nurses Credentialing Center. Is it Offered by Respected Professionals in the Field? Do you recognize the names of the instructors, or of the institution offering the course you’re planning to take? Popularity isn’t always a measure of quality, but it is one way of checking the credentials of instructors and institutions. If you’re not familiar with either the instructors or the offering institutions, ask around. Nurses’ forums on the Internet are great places to find out about programs that you might be considering – and you’ll hear directly from professionals just like you whether or not the course material was helpful and suitable for your continuing education. Is the Learning Style Accessible for You? One often overlooked facet of evaluating a nursing course is personal learning style. No one knows better than you do whether you learn best with hands on instruction, or can absorb more information if left to explore and gather it on your own. Choose classes that are conducted in your best learning style to get the most out of your continuing education hours. Continuing education courses for nursing represent a substantial investment of your time and money. Take the time to evaluate each course that you plan to take to make sure that it meets all your expectations and needs.
