Where Are All The Hybrid Cars

When hybrid cars first hit the market, they were touted as the vehicle that was going to take us into the future. Finally, every science fiction writer’s dream had come true – a fuel efficient car. Why, then, isn’t a hybrid car in every driver’s garage? The answer to that is simple, and it has to do with human nature. You may think that since hybrid cars and other more fuel efficient models have failed to become omnipresent, something strange is going on. Some people assumed that the technology would be in wide use once it was available because it made sense for the environment. These cars were good for us. Therefore, we would use them, right? Beets are good for us too, but think about how many people eat fries and cheeseburgers instead of beets. Fast food is more pleasant and it’s more convenient. When you keep this idea in mind, the reason why gasoline powered vehicles are still so popular begins to make sense. Manufacturers have a particular infrastructure set up to produce a certain type of vehicle. To change this infrastructure would mean refurbishing factories, which would take a lot of money. In addition, manufacturers aren’t sure that, if they did refurbish their factory, the models they made would sell well. No businessperson in his right mind throws away successful products to rely on something untried in the marketplace. For another thing, the consumer has a particular way of behaving. He understands gasoline powered cars. Perhaps he doesn’t want to spend the time researching how to fuel and care for a hybrid car. With every new bit of technology, there is a learning curve. Like the fast food eater who doesn’t want to take the time to prepare beets and make them tasty, the consumer simply wants to do what is easiest and most convenient, not to mention what is the least expensive. There is another thing that needs to be taken into consideration as well – why people purchase cars to begin with. Human nature is not always straightforward. People do not purchase cars to get from Point A to Point B. If that were the case, we would all be driving basic model cars. We don't drive these cars, though, because we purchase cars to gain prestige. There is no prestige to be had from driving a hybrid. There is plenty of prestige to be had from driving a Mustang, however. There is most likely a place for hybrid automobiles in our future, but change will be slow. Automobile makers will have to be sure the cars will sell. That means people will have to start demanding the hybrid cars already on the market, and they won’t do that until the cars become easy to deal with, cheap and prestigious. Hybrid cars aren’t in everyone’s driveways because they don’t satisfy those three core needs that human beings associate with vehicles. Until that happens, hybrids will stay on the periphery of the market.

    Website Money

Creating a website to make money online sounds great but there are a couple of key things you need first. It is better to be prepared than unprepared and then end up wasting your time and money. Before you even start your website you will need to find a product. Now you can choose to create your own product, become an affiliate for a product already in place, or join an MLM company. If you are going to create and sell your own product, be sure you research your product before investing time and money. You need to figure out if there is a market available for your product, who your competition is, and who your target market is. Now that you have your research done you can focus on building your website. If you do not have the tech skills to build a quality website, I would suggest hiring a professional to build website for you. Depending on who you go with this may be pricey. Look and interview as many different professionals as possible. Do not be afraid to negotiate what you are willing to pay with them. One other thing is not to spend all your money on the website, marketing your site is more important. When your website is up and running you must do a couple of things. First, make sure to have your page optimized. After that it is time to drive traffic to your page. Driving traffic to your website is how you make money with your website. Having a beautiful webpage and the best product in the world will not make any difference if no one is able to see it. There are countless ways to drive traffic to your website ( way to many to cover in this article). Creating a website to make money online will work as long as you work it. Once you have one website making money, the next websites will be a cakewalk. The first one is the toughest.

    Romania Bucharest Dracula And Transylvania

Mention Romania and people immediately think of Dracula and a mid evil country. Recovering from years of economic misery, Romania is quickly becoming the hidden jewel of Eastern Europe. Dracula v. Ceausescu In pop culture, Romania is always equated with Count Dracula, Bran Castle and Transylvania. These assumptions are wrong. Vlad Tepes is widely regarded as the person on whom the Dracula character is based. Known as Vlad the Impaler, there is no disputing this was one nasty individual, but he wasn’t a vampire. On top of this, Vlad the man never resided in Bran Castle, a real castle and the home of the fictional Dracula. Sorry to burst your bubble, but there was a person arguably worse than Dracula or Vlad in Romania’s history. Introducing Nicolae Ceausescu, the reigning worst dictator in the history of Europe. A pig on all counts, this man treated Romania as his personal fiefdom through much of the twentieth century. While leading the country into economic ruin, he built lavish estates for he and his wife. While Romanians starved on the streets, he and his wife spent money like Joan Collins at a plastic surgeon. When he was finally expelled from office, the people were so outraged by his excess that he and his wife were executed after what can only be called a show trial. Unfortunately, the country didn’t recover quickly. The last five years, however, have seen major advancements, and Romania is now a must visit location. Bucharest Once considered the Paris of the East, Bucharest suffered greatly during Ceausescu’s reign. Ancient buildings with French and Turkish influences were replaced with communist inspired concrete block buildings in redevelopment projects. Currently, the city is a microcosm of the lurching recovery of the country. Elegant neighborhoods border slums and there appears to be little or no middle class. There appears to be only the poor or rich. When visiting Romania, you will have to fly into Bucharest. Just don’t stay too long. Brasov Brasov is located in the hilly terrain of Transylvania and is a good place to visit. Located in the center of the country, Brasov is surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains. The city is a resounding example of old world Romania with an ancient center city square and little cafes throughout. The real appeal of Brasov is the surrounding land. Unspoiled, the mountains surrounding Brasov are full of little villages and surrounding forests. In this area, you’ll find bears, wolves and other threatened animals roaming freely. On top of this, the land is ripe with outdoor activity opportunities such as skiing, hiking, camping, hunting, rock climbing and parachuting. While all of this exists in other travel destinations, there is no tourist trap feel in Brasov. Carpathian Mountains The Carpathian Mountains are visually stunning. While there are attractions throughout the mountains, such as Bran Castle, don’t try to simply visit a particular place. Instead, rent a car in Brasov or hire a driver and just go for a ride. The scenery is so overwhelming it is hard to describe. You’ll drive down and up into gorges that seem endless, see rivers bombing down mountain sides and see animals only found in National Geographic documentaries. Go for this drive and I guarantee you will be blabbering about it for at least five days. Romania is the hidden gem of Eastern Europe and you should definitely visit. You don’t even need to wear garlic.

    Newry Tourist Information Travel Guide

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Newry, one of Northern Ireland’s oldest towns. Newry lies in the most south eastern part of Northern Ireland, in the north south corridor between Belfast and Dublin. As such it has developed into one of the most popular shopping towns in Ireland. Cross border trade has increased, which has meant both the Quays and the Buttercrane enjoying high footfall in their stores. Newry’s recent past has seen it being conferred with city status in 2002. One of two cities in Northern Ireland bestowed with this honour by the Queen, the other being Lisburn. Newry history shows that it was founded in 1144 alongside a Cistercian Monastery. It was destroyed by fire in 1689 by the forces of King James II during the Williamite war. The city was rebuilt afterwards and became a busy trading town. By 1742 its port became the busiest in Ulster and as result its canal opened making it the first major canal in Britain, it ran for 18 miles to Lough Neagh. Newry is also the home of Ireland’s highest viaduct, Craighmore Viaduct which lies to the North of the city and consists of 18 arches; it was designed by Sir John O Neill and opened in 1852. The city has strong links to St Patrick, the English interpretation of the name comes from the Irish (Lur Chinn Tra) which means the yew at the head of the strand, which St Patrick is said to have planted in the 5th Century. Ireland’s first protestant church is also in the city and bears St Patrick’s name. It first opened its doors in 1578. Newry’s other main Cathedral is St Patrick’s and St Colman’s which was built in 1829, it was designed by architect Thomas Duff. Newry offers some of the finest scenery in Northern Ireland, with the Ring of Gullion to the south west and the Mourne Mountains to the east. Both have been designated as areas of outstanding natural beauty. The river Clanrye runs through the city and historically formed the border between Armagh and Down. The city’s Town Hall was built on top of the river. Newry can boast some famous sons with Pat Jennings, former goalkeeper and Northern Ireland’s most capped player born in the city. Mountaineer Terence “Banjo” Bannon is from the city, as is John Dunlop, prominent Presbyterian churchman. John Mitchell, the driving force behind the Young Ireland Movement is buried in the Old Meeting House in the city. Newry has a population which has grown steadily and in a census carried out in 2001 its population numbered 27433 people. Newry house prices have also increased dramatically by 371% since 1996, topping a poll for the whole of the United Kingdom. Sport plays a major part in the fabric of the city with Pairc Esler being the home of Down GAA. The city also boasts a soccer club which play at the Showgrounds in the city. There are a wide range of activities available in the city, with a museum, arts centre and a number of art galleries available. Accommodation in the city can be found in the magnificent surroundings of the Canal Court Hotel. Centrally located, the hotel offers a superb base while staying in the city. As you can see Newry has a varied history and a lot to offer for those tourists looking a short break away from it all. So come and stay in Newry and experiences all the city has to offer.

    Competency In Counseling

There is no shortage of advice givers in today’s society. Actually, it seems no matter where you turn, you hear someone giving advice or counsel on one issue or another. Frequently it’s hard to try and avoid those wanting to give advice. To prove my point, simply express to others a dilemma you have, and watch folks stumble over themselves to give their opinion. Some counsel you hear is good, little is from a biblical worldview, and much counsel is simply bad and ungodly. With that in mind, who are capable to provide counsel or give advice? Are Christians competent to counsel people with problems? What actually constitutes competency? What are the qualifications for a counselor? Biblical counselors frequently quote Romans 15:14 to support the position that Christians possess adequate ability (competency) to counsel: “I myself am convinced, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, complete in knowledge and competent to instruct one another.” Colossians 3:16 is considered the comparable verse to Romans 15:14, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom,….” Continuing in Romans, Paul makes the case for boldness: Romans 15:15, “I have written you quite boldly on some points, as if to remind you of them again, because of the grace God gave me.” Each of these verses contains the necessary characteristics or prerequisites required of a competent counselor. Counselors are to be, “full of goodness,” “complete in knowledge,” the word of Christ should dwell in them richly, they should be full of wisdom, and they should speak boldly. First, counselors should be full of goodness. This is not goodness that is natural within us, but is from the Spirit of God whose fruit is goodness, Galatians 5:22. Being full of goodness denotes an abundance of grace consisting of benevolence, humaneness, and an understanding to fellow Christians in the spirit of Galatians 6:1, “Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently.” Second, counselors should be complete in knowledge. This is spiritual knowledge relating to: 1. God, His nature and perfections, His mind and will, 2. Christ and the work of redemption, 3. The Holy Spirit and how He operates, 4. The Gospel knowledge necessary to salvation. If a counselor is to have an understanding of the biblical issues relating to human nature and behavior, the study of the scriptures will be fundamental to his or her qualifications and effectiveness. It would be paradoxical for someone to say they counsel biblically, yet lack the wherewithal or inclination to provide biblical explanations to issues and problems. 2 Timothy 2:15, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” Third, the word of Christ should dwell richly in the counselor. The counselor should understand the scriptures, especially those which speak of Christ and testify of Him, teach pardon by His blood, justification by faith, and salvation. He must know the Bible thoroughly and how to use it practically. I would seriously question the motives and presuppositions of a biblical counselor who lacked the willingness or desire to study and learn the doctrines central to the work of a true biblical counselor. If a counselor believes “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path,” Psalm 119:105, how can that truth be applied without having more than a Sunday school knowledge and understanding of God’s word? How can the counselor provide the lamp and light if he doesn’t know its whereabouts? Richly implies he should not only possess the word, but it should have a significant place in the counselor’s life. The counselor should be engaged in frequent reading, hearing, and meditation on the word. Next, the counselor should possess wisdom. James Strong defines wisdom as “devout and proper prudence in relations with men including the skill and discretion in imparting Christian truth.” The counselor must learn how to discover the facts about the problems to which he must find biblical solutions. Psalm 111:10 states where one should start in obtaining wisdom, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding.” Finally, the counselor should speak with boldness. He should reprove, advise, and exhort without dread or fear. 2 Timothy 4:2, “Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage with great patience and careful instruction.” Having stated the biblical prerequisites for what constitutes a competent counselor, what then constitutes an incompetent counselor? One might assume it would be just the antithesis of what I just stated. However, since all Christians possess the key competent attributes in some degree (albeit many in extremely small amounts), there is more to what constitutes incompetency. The strength of biblical counseling begins with its presuppositions. In other words, it accepts on faith that God exists and the Bible is true, and understands the implications of adhering to it. What are some of the key presuppositions in biblical counseling? To start, counseling issues are theological issues because our life is lived before God. That is the exact opposite of psychology’s main presupposition of there is no God. If there is one single difference that makes the two counseling models stand out, it’s the fact that one acknowledges God and the other does not. Also, the heart drives behavior and all counseling issues are heart issues. This establishes that all behavior is righteous or unrighteous, not healthy or unhealthy; and certainly not the psychological heresy “feelings are neither good nor bad, they just exist.” Furthermore, one’s view on the nature of man is critical in understanding behavior and offering biblical solutions. If man is depraved and his behavior is the result of sin, the biblical counselor can offer solutions, hope, and a cure. If there is no sin, reductionism becomes the presupposition and all behavior is reduced to chemical imbalances, diseases or other ambiguous impulses. Doctors David Tyler and Kurt Grady explore this further in their book, “Deceptive Diagnosis: When Sin is Called Sickness.” Dr. Dr. Ed Bulkley comments from the forward of the book are most appropriate: “The church has a growing tendency to pathologize every form of spiritual discomfort…, instead of seeking God's definitions and explanations of human behavior, more and more pastors, elders, and congregations are accepting a secular world view which is based on humanistic psychology rather than the Bible. The result is an increasingly weakened Church, no longer certain of its message, mission and calling.”

    Livestock

Livestock Many different types of animals fit into the classification of livestock. There are domesticated animals rather than those that are left to roam freely in the wild. They are used for entertainment such as horses. They can be a source of food such as cattle and chickens. Those types of livestock also offer us milk and eggs so not all of them are slaughtered. Sheep offer us wool that is used to making clothing out of. Livestock are raised on ranches and they are given the space they need to move. They are also given the right types of food to eat in order to get the most benefits from them. The use of supplements in food has been controversial for a very long time now though. Some people don’t like it but many in the industry claim it allows us to have better tasting foods we can all benefit from. Keeping the livestock healthy is very important. Many of them won’t breed like they should if their basic needs haven’t been continually met. Illnesses have to be avoided in order to get the most benefit. For most ranchers they have to give a great deal of attention to their livestock. Otherwise they risk losing money on what they paid for them. The process of vaccinating them is considered to be routine in the industry. The transporting of livestock takes place in trailers. Some are only big enough for a few animals while others can hold hundreds. The laws have become stricter regarding what can be transported and how. This is for the safety of the animals as well as for the people on the roads with them. Proper ventilation and even cooling or heating systems in the trailers is required. Raising livestock is a very common practice all over the world. Most of us benefit from it in more ways than we even realize. The cost of what we pay for these products often depends on what is going on in the industry. There are plenty of peaks and valleys when it comes to the supply and demand involving livestock. If the cost of raising the livestock increases you can be sure that price is going to be passed along to the consumers.

Vacation Ownership Time Is On Your Side

Most people want to go on vacation, at least once, every year. But take a moment to add up everything you've spent on all your vacations. Now think ahead to all the trips you dream of taking and what you know they would cost if you bought them individually thousands of dollars for every trip, without knowing exactly what you are going to get. There are other options. With vacation ownership commonly known as a timeshare you have the ability to visit a variety of destinations and the ability to choose when you want to travel and the type of accommodations that best fit your needs. You also know that you'll be able to take your whole family with you, with more than enough room for everyone, without the expense of eating out for every meal and with the conve nience and peace of mind of a home away from home. Traditional timeshares limit owners to a single property with the option to use their accommodations either for a specific week during the year or for a week during a specific time interval or season. Alternatively, with points based ownership, instead of purchasing an interest in a specific resort and unit for a certain time every year, you are purchasing points or "currency" that, when redeemed, allow you access to various resort locations in a variety of accommodations, as well as the flexibility to choose when you want to go and your length of stay. For travelers who want to visit a variety of destinations throughout their lifetime a tropical retreat one year and perhaps snow skiing the next they are likely to find a flexible points based ownership system the best option. For example, Sunterra's vacation ownership program includes nearly 100 properties where members use points for accommodations at Sunterra's properties and 2,000 resorts worldwide through Interval International. When investigating properties, here are a few things to keep in mind: • Make sure the property is in good shape; • Check out the company's background and see how long it has been in business; • If it's a multidestination company or club, review the locations to make sure they offer you the variety of vacation opportunities you and your family are looking for; and • Check testimonials from existing customers.

Installing An Amplifier Into Your Car

With many car audio systems out there falling well short of tolerable a ideal solution is the addition of an amplifier. An amplifier can be used for one of two things. It can be used to power speakers the speakers that are in the cabin of the car or they can be used to power a sub woofer in the boot of the car. Both uses provide a greater listening experience. Installing an amplifier is not as difficult as many think. It is a simple 2 hour task that can be performed by anyone with a little knowledge of the electrics of a car. The first thing to do would be to connect the wires to the back of the stereo. This involves taking the stereo out of the dash so you can access the RCA plugs at the back of the stereo. Depending on the amount of channels the amplifier has, usually 4 or 2, there will be 2 RCA plugs. You need to plug these RCA cables into the back of the stereo. The second wire to plug into the back of the stereo is the remote wire. This wire tells the amplifier to turn on and off with the stereo. Once the plugs are in the back of the stereo you need to run the wires to the boot of the car. This is done through the cabin and can be concealed under plastic panels on the door trims on the floor of the car. Once the wire’s have been run you need to connect the other ends to the amplifier. This is a simple task as all sockets on the amplifier are labeled. Once the wires are in you simply need to wire up the speaker wires to your sub woofer or your speakers and test the sound. If there is no sound you need to back track and see where you went wrong. If the sound is working you need to go ahead and secure the amplifier somewhere in the boot so it doesn’t move around while you’re driving. Most car audio installers will charge you an arm and a leg to install an amplifier when it is quite simple and can be done by most people.

Discover The Secrets Of Personality Type

Have you ever wondered why your spouse, coworkers, or children seem to think so differently from you? You may not understand why they make the decisions they do, or why they place such importance on things that seem inconsequential to you. It is possible to understand the answers to all these questions. The secret lies in the theory of Myers Briggs personality type. In the 1960’s a psychological theorist named Katharine Briggs had many of the same questions you do. She wondered why some of her family members had such logical, linear thinking processes, when she herself was more likely to take values and feelings into account when considering an issue. In her research with her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers, she looked into this question and others, and discovered four central aspects of personality. Each one of us can be classified as either: • Extroverted/Introverted—Do you get your energy from being with people, or being alone? • Sensing/Intuitive—Do you see what’s actual, or what’s possible? • Thinking/Feeling—Do you make decisions with your head or your heart? • Judging/Perceiving—Do you like to make decisions, or keep your options open? Our classifications on each of the scales is combined to make a four letter type, for instance, ENTP, or ISFJ. There are sixteen types in all, encompassing all possible combinations. With so many possibilities, you can imagine how much potential for misunderstanding there is with those around us! If we marry, or parent, or even work with someone who is very different from us, we can become increasingly baffled as to how their minds work. The key to unlocking the mystery and understanding those around us is to first understand yourself. Where do you think you fall on the scales listed above? It can be difficult to decide, but fortunately the creators of this theory have also created a scientifically validated assessment that can tell you where you fall. This personality test is called the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and is the most accurate and efficient way to identify your own type. Most recently it has become available in an online format, which allows convenient access to anyone wishing to discover more about themselves. The official Myers Briggs Type Indicator can be used to produce several different types of reports, from basic to detailed, all of which you can refer to as you learn more about your own Type. Once you have discovered your Type, you can begin to think about how others may differ. If you are an extrovert, you may be surprised when others want to leave a social gathering or end a conversation before you do. It doesn’t mean they’re unfriendly or not having a good time; it’s just that introverts rely on their alone time to recharge. As another example, if you’re a Thinker, you may mistrust people who seem to make decisions based on their “gut” or their feelings rather than logic. But turn this around and you’ll realize that your own decisions may seem cold and uncaring to someone who is a Feeling type. There is no right or wrong; only individual preferences. The world is made up of many types, and this is for the best! We need people who are gregarious, and those that are content to live much of their lives independently. We need visionaries with their heads in the clouds, and people who will take care of all the details. We need planners, and people who fly by the seat of their pants; when making decisions we need both someone to remind us of the logic of the situation and someone to help us do a “gut check.” Learning more about personality types can help you appreciate all the variation you’ll see around you. Most importantly, it will help you use your differences to everyone’s benefit.

    Bluetooth Wireless Networking 282

Bluetooth Wireless Networking Bluetooth technology offers three different types of defined ranges, based on output ranges. Class 1 devices are the most powerful, as they can have up to 100 mW of power, with a regular antenna giving them a range of around 130 330 feet. The class 2 devices are lower power, offering up to 2.5 mW of power. A regular antenna will give them a range of around 50 100 feet. Class 3 devices use even less power, up to 1 mW of power to be exact. With a regular antenna, they will have a range of around 16 33 feet. Even though you may not realize it, Bluetooth wireless technology has never been intended for anything other than short distance types of communication. With Bluetooth wireless, the short range is actually a benefit. For one, the short range will reduce the change of interference between your devices and those that belong to others who are nearby. Overall, this is a basic type of security, designed to protect you and your devices. Secondly, the lower power used for short range means a longer battery life. Most Bluetooth devices will get their power from a battery, meaning that anything you can do to lengthen the battery life is very important. The wireless networking offered by Bluetooth is actually among the best, even though it uses short range communication. Bluetooth is used with wireless controllers, the internet, and even wireless headsets. For the best in short range technology, Bluetooth is extremely hard to beat. If you've never tried Bluetooth before, now is the time. It's the best with wireless networking, especially for those who enjoy hands free talking on their cell phone. (word count 282) PPPPP

It Consulting Generate Income In The Beginning

If you are starting your own IT consulting business, you need to be generating demand, getting good leads and prospects, qualifying them, going out on sales appointments and following up on those. Do not get seduced by an aggressive sales person twisting your arm to join a channel program. Don’t get seduced by tech gadgets that don’t fill an immediate need with your paying clients. Avoid Channel Programs In starting an IT consulting business, you need to be very careful that you don’t get sucked into joining channel programs that aren’t leading anywhere. You need to focus on finding paying clients first. Determine How You Will Be Paid With new IT consulting clients, you need to always insist on either getting payment as you do the work or get credit card authorization, especially when you sell products. That’s especially if you’re going to be selling hardware, software and peripherals. Of course, to be able to take credit cards, in most cases, you need to get a merchant account. Do not give credit, and then even beyond that, do not give credit unless you’re going to do a regular credit application and credit check. Require Deposits Always, always, always get a deposit check a substantial amount of the purchase especially if it’s a product purchase. Even on a big IT consulting project where you’re doing services, installation, design work, troubleshooting or upgrades, you should require a deposit. At the absolute minimum, your deposits should be something in the neighborhood of 10 to 25%. Usually it should be somewhere more in the 25 to 35% range. The Bottom Line about IT Consulting In starting your IT consulting business, be sure you don’t end up feeling pinched. It is a good idea to bill weekly and always include a due date on your invoices. Don’t just put "Due in X number of days." Include a concrete due date to show your clients you are serious about your business. Copyright MMI MMVI, Computer Consulting 101 Blog. Fly Fishing Journals Keep Track Of Your Trips

Fly fishing is addictive. Once you start, you'll never stop. Whether you are going to the local water hole or to Alaska, you should use a fly fishing journal to keep track of your sessions. Fly Fishing Journals Fly fishing is more than just fishing, it’s a peaceful, surreal activity. For many, there is almost a meditative quality to casting. For avid fly fisherman, fly fishing trips to locations such as the Battenkill River in Vermont, Green River in Utah and Letort in Pennsylvania are a must. Of course, the possibility of trips to Argentina, Alaska and other exotic locations can make ones eyes glassy. For many, however, past fly fishing experiences fade from the memory with time.
