    Aim High

Change is difficult for many people. Often times our whole identity is wrapped up in what we've learned as children will work for us when dealing with people, allowing us to survive, thrive and fit in. While some people have had to learn to thrive in the midst of change and learned to be adaptable by being open to new ideas and embracing change, many others have had to fight for survival and every table scrap that came their way. Behavior is learned and it takes work to unlearn and dismantle these old beliefs. The truth of the matter is that win win is always possible. When you are able to see beyond the ego and recognize the abundance that is available, people, minds, and ideas come together and can create amazing changes that improve the current scenarios for many, many people. When you work with people who have this abundant and generous attitude, you are uplifted, the team soars, and amazing energy and creativity is unleashed. This is much harder to do, to sustain, and to elevate within others when you encounter individuals driven by the thought of scarcity and competition. People like Steve Jobs are visionaries that have sought to bring about such shifts in society and in business. One thing I've learned along the way is that it is often better to take the high road. This isn't about judging others as wrong or seeing yourself as better than others. This is about recognizing your truth as to how you wish to BE in the world. Don't compromise your integrity. Don't get caught up in the competition. See the vision, see the outcome, feel the purpose and passion you're driven to offer the world, and give it freely. We all die. You can’t take anything from this life with you. So give what you have to offer the world. What is not given is lost forever. If your goal is to truly bring about a positive change and serve others, how it is accomplished becomes less important and seeing it accomplished becomes more important. While it may be a blow to your ego when others criticize your inspiration, or someone takes the credit for something you've introduced, holding fast to the benefits for everyone will often soften the sting. You do need to pick and choose those places where you'll offer yourself, the key is to evaluate whether it is serving a common good. When you’re getting compensated for your contributions, gratitude would serve you spirit of peace. If you continually feel abused and stomped on, maybe it is time to move on to a more collaborative team, as well as a more receptive and appreciative audience. Knowing that you are accomplishing your purpose and living your passion will be reward. In time, it will be recognized. Imposters will eventually be seen and heart & soul will always outlast the mind & ego. Along the way, through the journey that is your life and career, you will need to hold fast to the true inner qualities and nature of the brilliance that is you. Don’t allow these negative experiences to become something that undermines your value. You are not the negative experience. Often times, the negativity we experience from others, is more a reflection of them and less about who you are. We all have different lenses, different gifts, different wiring, and different experiences. Difference is not something to be judged, it is a gift of diversity that brings the pieces of the puzzle of life together and creates a society, a solution, a technology, etc., together for the benefit of us all. Don’t doubt yourself when others cannot see the vision you see. Keep true, keep your intentions, and you will attract the right support, the right people, and the right opportunities. Lower the ego and aim high the vision. Best wishes, Lee Make a Difference

Heal Our Republic Change Our Electoral System

Consider the presidential election system we have today: Every state has a number of electors, equal to their amount of representatives and senators, who vote for the President of the United States. In most states, every elector goes to the candidate who achieves the most popular votes, regardless of his margin of victory. This means: 1. Presidential candidates have little reason to campaign to the whole country. If partisan or personal loyalty makes victory certain in a state, a candidate can safely ignore it in favor of other states. Conversely, if a candidate will definitely lose in a state, then he won't waste his time there. Only competitive "battleground states" see much activity. 2. We have less national turnout. If a state will assuredly support one candidate, why bother voting? Also, lack of vigorous campaigning in a state might contribute to voter apathy during an election. 3. With the winner take all plurality system, candidates try to attract moderate voters, so to avoid turning people off, they emphasize their personalities more than their policies. This results in bland, visionless candidates who take those traits into the White House. I believe a new presidential electoral system is in order. We need something that rewards candidates who have bold ideas, while drawing more voters into the process as well. Therefore, I recommend we emulate the French. Hear me out! The French have an excellent method by which to elect their president. It is a two stage electoral process. In the first part, candidates from all the country's parties can run. Candidates who mobilize partisans with daring policy agendas will perform best here. Afterwards, during the second stage runoff, the first and second place finishers of the first round compete. Whoever achieves a majority vote wins. This requires the candidates to make themselves as palatable toward the center as possible. Eliminating the Electoral College and implementing two round direct popular vote elections here would deliver many benefits. It would reward courageous candidates with striking ideas in the first stage, but it would weed out dangerous fanatics in the second stage. It would allow smaller parties to achieve greater prominence than they could achieve in a winner take all elector paradigm. It would give candidates reason to campaign to every American. And it would give each voter a larger role in determining the outcome of the election. As a German friend also pointed out to me, “I don't quite get it that in the US, votes for the Greens i. e. are all lost, even help a candidate from the right to get into office (see 2000) a second turn of the elections would allow Green supporters to vote for the Democrat.” This is an important point. The major parties would have to give adherents of smaller parties reasons to vote for them. This would force the Democrats and Republicans to take other parties, such as Greens and Libertarians, seriously, and perhaps heed some of their political desires. This would make more Americans feel as if they play an important role in the republican process. To complete the reform, we also need to make going out to vote easier. Right now, we seemingly make voting as hard as we can. Elections take place on weekdays, so if Americans want to vote, they must take off work or rush to the polls before or after work. When they get there, they must wait a long time to finish the process, because the volunteer polling coordinators are old, retired people. (Young people have to work, after all.) All this makes voting seem not worth the hassle to millions of Americans. To change that and increase turnout, Election Day should become a federal holiday. That would allow Americans to vote without worrying about missing work and forfeiting pay, or hurrying through throngs of people in the morning or evening. Younger Americans would also be able to volunteer to oversee the polls, thereby making voting a smoother and faster experience. While we're on the subject of changing our electoral system, let's consider this: At the time the Constitution was drafted, one of the Anti Federalist objections to the document was to the pluralistic election of representatives. The Anti Federalists argued this could allow the election of representatives whom most of the community despised, but who still managed to get more votes than anyone else. Instead, according to the Anti Federalists, districts should select their representatives by majority vote. I believe that Anti Federalist objection has merit. How can a representative represent a district if most of the people there hate him? Changing congressional elections to two stage elections, similar to what I outlined above for presidential elections, would be a good idea. That way, we could ensure the majority of citizens in a district would have voted for their congressman. All the benefits of switching the national presidential election to a two stage majority vote model would apply here. Many conservatives would object to the national scope of my reform plan. They’d correctly point out it would erode federalism. Because population centers—cities—would yield greater power, our executive branch might also shift to the left. Given the power of the presidency, this might produce a government similarly inclined to governments in Europe. Anathema to conservatives, that would be. To counteract the leftward effect and to placate conservatives, I suggest we repeal the 17th Amendment. Let the state legislatures elect senators again. Senators who don't rely upon the people as an electoral base would be a lot more willing to challenge the president. Not only might the Senate be more conservative than the President, but they’d feel safer defying him since the people who put him in office wouldn’t be the same ones who put them in office. They wouldn’t have to worry as much about the President’s popularity. In addition, with the people electing both the House of Representatives and the President under my plan, we'd need more checks against the tyranny of the majority. Election of federal senators by state legislatures would constitute such a check. No electoral procedures could solve all problems. But this extensive reform plan would eliminate many of them: * Campaigns focusing only on battleground states. * Nullification of millions of votes. * Candidates whose only goal is to win a plurality of the ballots. * Victories by candidates whom most of the community doesn't support. * Apathy of the electorate toward politics. We especially should not underestimate the importance of the last element. Only an interested and engaged citizenry can serve as the foundation of a republic. Without it, a republic cannot stand.

Buying A Used Wheelchair Lift Is It Safe

Buying a lift for your wheelchair, whether it be for your home or your vehicle, is an important decision. The most important aspect of purchasing a wheelchair lift is safety. While there are many styles and models available, there are also many pricing ranges. Among the least expensive of all wheelchair lifts are used lifts that are being sold, either because the current owner has upgraded to another model, or simply because they do not need the lift any longer. Used items are very popular, but when choosing a wheelchair lift, a used model may not always be the safest and best. Consider first that with a used wheelchair lift you are not getting a warranty. Most manufacturers offer warranties of up to five years on new models, and with a used model, you will not have the assurance of a warranty to help you in case the lift stops working properly. Replacing parts on a wheelchair lift can be very expensive. In fact, if you are forced to replace an electronic motor, you will probably find that a new lift is even less expensive than the motor replacement itself. Purchasing parts are not the only expense that you may face if you opt to buy a used wheelchair lift. Considering that most people do not know how to repair wheelchair lifts, then you will probably need a repair person to install the new part. These fees alone can be outrageous. With the purchase price of the new part, and the fees to have someone install it for you, you will likely be better off, and save money, but purchasing a new lift to begin with. Money is only one aspect of the problems that you may have with a used wheelchair lift. Safety should always be your number one concern when deciding on a lift. If you choose a lift that is used, then you have no way to determine how safe the mechanism is. If the motor stops working while the lift is halfway to its destination spot, then you, or your loved one, are stuck on the lift. You run the risk of falling off while you are working to get the lift moving again. There are many things to consider when purchasing a used wheelchair lift. Safety and money just happen to be the two most important aspects of the decision. If you are purchasing a wheelchair lift for a family member or loved one, or even for yourself, you should consider that this is not one of those things where you would be better off with the least expensive version. You can find inexpensive models that are new, but choosing a used lift has many problems in itself. To ensure your safety, or the safety of your loved one, consider the purchase decision again, and weight the pros and cons of a new lift versus a used one. Chances are you will see that a new lift is not that much more expensive, and the fact of knowing that you and your loved one are safe should make up the monetary difference.

Using Blogs To Improve Search Engine Rankings

Blogging is gaining widespread popularity. From Celebrity blogs to Academic journals, blogging has played an extensive part to promote content at a global perspective. Knowing the potentials of blogging and understanding how it plays an important role in gaining online exposure and better search engine rankings, can give any web marketer a significant foothold of the online market. So you started a blog a few days ago, and now you want people to check it out. You basically want to have lots of fresh visitors and to improve your search engine rank. Building traffic to your blog is not really that hard. For starters, you need to be in a good blogging community, one that is categorically related to your site. Try checking out blogging networks like Mybloglog. com. Search on their Community section and pick out the best communities you want to join. Now traffic should start rolling in, but it’s still going to be very slow. A good advantage of joining blogging communities is that you get to quickly browse through dozens of blogs of community members or visitors. You can add comments on their blogs and expect people to reply to your comments and even check out your site. Add those targeted visitors to the random visitors you get everyday, and you should have a good start up traffic. Browsing through several related blogs everyday should give you an idea on the newest trends, or what marketing strategies your competitors are implementing. You can monitor and improve on their strategies and apply different techniques to boost your traffic further. A high traffic blog contains lots of informative articles, and then you should do the same or improve on that strategy by building on the user’s visual appeals with images or videos. But be careful about putting too much weight on pictures or animations, since most users prefer quality information which they can access quickly. A site that loads rather slowly may cause users to steer away, or seek more accessible resources. By now your site is raking in dozens of users per day. That should be a good sign that your blogging community is thriving. Take advantage of the situation and start telling the other blogs in your community about your good visitor traffic. Chances are they would want to link or be associated with your site. Exchange links with related blogs and you should do well in the search engines. It will also improve your search engine rank as well as the reputation of your site. Users always give value to the site’s reputation, and to the number of authority blogs linking to it. If several high profile blogs point or link to your site, then users would give better preference to your site than others in your niche. A blogging community can be a very big help to those who are starting on their niche. Blog communities do not only provide your site with a good boost of traffic, they can also be a source of positive marketing strategies on how to better catch your visitor’s attention. Putting some effort to improve your relationship with other blogs in your community will greatly boost your popularity and reputation online. And this, coupled with quality content, can help users determine the importance of your site. With quality articles, and good link neighbors you can greatly improve your search engine rank.

How To Get Affordable Health Insurance In Florida

Health insurance is one of the most talked about and difficult to afford types of insurance that the average American is faced with buying. In fact, health insurance has become so expensive that approximately 17% of all residents of Florida are without health insurance coverage of any kind. Florida, like most other states, has a program designed to provide health care to children. Florida's program, called KidCare, is designed to provide health services to children 19 years of age and younger. There are income eligibility requirements as well as other qualifications, but if you are having troubling finding health insurance for a minor for any reason it may pay you to check out Florida's KidCare program at: floridakidcare. org/ For most Floridians there are things you can do that will help keep the cost of your health insurance in check. Start with a healthy lifestyle. The healthier you are the less your health insurance is likely to cost you in a number of ways. That means eating right and getting exercise each and every day. Walking, biking or other forms of simple exercise do not have to cost money or be terribly taxing on your body. One study in England suggested that simply walking to the end of your driveway and back each day could have a health benefit. A healthy lifestyle also includes such things as not smoking or using any tobacco product (such as chew). Non smokers pay a lot less for health insurance than do smokers. If you already have health insurance and you were a smoker when you first signed up but have since quit, you need to speak with your agent as you could be due for a substantial savings on your monthly premium. Being overweight will cost you when it comes to health insurance. Being overweight is not healthy and so health insurers are going to charge you more for health insurance the more overweight you are. The good news is that if you can lose even a few pounds you may slip into a lower cost category and that could save you a ton of money over the course of a year. Don't participate in extreme or dangerous hobbies or sports. Anything that puts your health at risk is going to cost you more money in health insurance premiums every single month. If you have a dangerous profession you can also count on paying more for your health insurance. Do you have other insurance policies such as homeowner's or auto insurance with the same insurance company? If so ask for a Multi Policy Discount. Have you been with the same insurance company for at least 5 years? If so, ask for a Long Term Policy Discount. What is your current co pay? Many people have a 20% or 25% co pay each time they visit the doctor's office or have other medical care. If you are able to increase your co payment to 50% you can save a great deal on your monthly premium payment. This suggestion works best for people who do not see their doctor on a regular basis. Your deductible can be the fastest way of reducing your monthly health care premium. The higher your deductible the lower your monthly premium. Obviously you must consider carefully how much money you can really and truly afford to pay each year for your health care before you ask your insurance company to begin paying for your treatment. Now you are armed with the information you need to construct a health insurance policy that provides as much coverage as possible and yet is still affordable. That means it's time for you to get online and find at least 3 websites that permit you to make head to head comparisons of health care prices among a variety of different insurance companies so that you can truly get affordable health insurance in Florida. Don't short change yourself. You need to make your comparisons on at least 3 different websites if you want to feel absolutely confident that the low price you are seeing is actually the lowest price that you can find.

3 Tips To Ensure A Safe Car Shipping Transaction

With the world becoming more and more globalized, there has been a increase in business for car shipping companies to ship all types of vehicles ranging from motorbikes to lorries, trucks etc. Online car sales and car auctions have also contributed to an increase in demand for car shipping services. As a result, today there is a wide range of car shipping companies to choose from. But how do you go about picking a car shipping service that is suitable for your car? Here are a few tips to bear in mind. 1. Enclosed Or Not Enclosed You will need to decide whether your car needs to be enclosed in a container or not during shipping. Generally enclosed containers are more expensive but the advantage is your car will not need to suffer from wind, rain, debris etc during transportation. I would recommend to use an the enclosed method of transportation if your car is a brand new one or is expensive. An example would be a vintage car or an expensive sports automobile. 2. Shipping Routes You may need to check with the car shipping company whether they can deliver to your house. Some shipping companies only deliver to major cities and certain pickup locations after which you are expected to go there to collect the car. Other car shipping companies will charge an additional fee to ship it to your house. So it is important you check with the company before hand the shipping arrangement. 3. Car Inspection Most car shipping companies will have a car inspection checklist before and after the car is shipped. You want to go through that checklist and make sure your condition of the car is checked correctly before shipping. You can take your time to inspect the car after it has been shipped to check for any damages to your car. 5. Car Shipping Insurance You may want to check with the car shipping companies on the shipping insurance coverage on your car and the cost involved. Most car shipping companies include insurance in the total shipping cost but some don’t and will require an additional charge. So make sure you know the insurance coverage and the cost if needed.

    Slow Imposters Preposterous

Or is it? The slow movement overall is spreading like wildfire. Television shows, major motion pictures, and of course many travel agencies are jumping on the slow travel bandwagon like passengers from a sinking ship leaping for lifeboats. Because Slow is hot. Period. So how can you determine a solid slow plan or destination for your slow travel? A quick Google search brings up some decent results. But overall it leaves you lacking, because many of the top listings are simply doorways to quickie ticket sites like Travelocity or Cheap Tickets. Which, in my opinion, are definitely NOT slow travel oriented. For those that are new to the concept, it can be amazingly difficult to discern a really excellent slow travel destination from a cheesy imitation simply because these companies hire some of the top marketing firms in the business. These guys are good at their jobs. So they use crafty wording and lots of fluff to convince you that you've made a sound slow travel plan, when in fact all you have done is set yourself up for a rush trip filled with deadlines, coupons, and headaches. But there is a fairly simple answer to this problem. One that doesn't take much effort or much thought. It only takes initiative. Ask someone. Get in touch with someone in the know about slow travel in general. If possible, someone that has even dealt with the company or destination that you are considering. Have someone help you with your itinerary. The old saying is true. Two heads are better than one. If you can find someone that has some experience and knows what slow travel is about, you can easily learn how to avoid the pitfalls. One place you can look for assistance is . slowtravelblog. com or . slowtravel. org . They are both excellent resources and both completely approved and run by The World Institute of Slowness. TWIOS is considered the major authority on slow websites overall and is an excellent place to start. Even the founder, Geir Berthelsen is often available to assist you in your choices and will surely help you with your travel plans or destinations if he can. . slowtravel. org is probably your best bet when starting out if you would rather not ask someone for help. All of the sites there are hand selected and manually approved by The World Institute of Slowness. The verification process is extensive, so it is a safe bet that destinations listed there are slow worthy. You can also try talking to some of the TWIOS members at our forum, which is located at . slowtravelforum. com. Getting some direct insight by posting on the boards may bring you the advice you are looking for. However, everything always comes down to personal taste and your views on Slow overall. What is 'Slow' to some, may not be 'Slow' to others. So do your own research as well. By doing your homework and looking before you leap, you are most likely going to make the right decisions. Even if you don't, it is always a learning process and it will make you better for the next time. Which is what life is all about. Learning how to live it. To enjoy it.

The Most Important Part Of Your Copy Will Increase Your Conversion

Copyright 2006 Peter Woodhead This is the sixth in a series of ten articles. Good copy is essential if you are to succeed. However, you can have the greatest copy in the world but it’s the headline that will determine whether the rest of the copy gets read or not. We’re going to give you some great headlines from the past and reasons why they were great. But first…. …we continue our tour through notable milestones in advertising history. 1916 James Walter Thompson retires and a group of colleagues buy him out for $500,000 1917 American Association of Advertising Agencies founded with 111 members. 1919 Barton, Durstine and Osborn (BDO) open in New York. 1919 James Webb Young became famous for his Odorono ad. This was the first attempt ever at advertising women’s deodorant. At the time, there was up roar. Many women perceived his ad as offensive. His headline ran: “Within the Curve of a Woman’s Arm.” But he was proved right as sales of the product soared 112% in the first year. 1921 Baygul and Jacobs open in Omaha It was in the 1920s that Emmanuel Haldeman Julius sold over 200 million copies of his “Little Blue Books”. And he never wrote a single one of them. All he ever did was market them, and if a title didn’t work for him he changed it. In his own words: “A good title is a work of genius.” He reckoned that just changing the title of a book increased sales. Who can argue? His book, not surprisingly titled: “The First Hundred Million” shows how he advertised his little books in newspapers and magazine ads. Here's what copy writing legend Gary Halbert had to say: "Go read a copy of "The First Hundred Million." It is where I learned my magic words...the ones that make copy SIZZLE and my headlines impossible to ignore." E. Haldeman Julius had a system. If a title didn't sell over 10,000 copies in a year, it was sent to a place in his office called "The Hospital" and here it would be given a new title. And if the new title bombed, then it went into "The Morgue." As an example, he had a book titled: "Art of Controversy" which didn't exceed his 10,000 copy yardstick. The title was changed to: "How to Argue Logically" and sales soared to 30,000 copies. Why? He changed nothing about the book just the title. By doing this, Haldeman Julius discovered that certain words, when used in the title, could increase sales of almost any book. For example, a book by Dr. Arthur Cramp in 1925 called: "Patent Medicine" sold a measly 3,000 copies. Haldeman Julius changed the title to: "The Truth About Patent Medicine" and sales rose to a respectable 10,000 copies. Haldeman Julius found that the words: "The Truth About" had some sort of magic. Haldeman Julius found that old chestnut: "How To" in a title was far and away the best. For example, the title: "How to Psycho analyze Yourself" out sold "Psycho analysis Explained" and "How I Psycho analyzed Myself" by almost four times. He found that the words: Life; Love; Sex; Romance; self improvement; and entertainment also worked well in titles. He discovered how small changes in his titles resulted in massive differences in sales. If you have a product that is not doing as well as you would like. Take a look at the title. Does it contain the main benefit to your customers? Does it offer some curiosity? Or has it got a title that has got within some cute expression that your customer has to guess what your product or service is? If so, get rid of it. Try changing the title of your sales copy. But before you do, make sure it's a change for the better. We are now in an "Information Age" and people want information desperately. The internet is a perfect example. People want facts. Well, guess what Haldeman Julius found? "The Facts You Should Know…." proved to be a massive hit. Nothing's changed since his days. These words still work today. You can use Haldeman Julius' wisdom in your business today, no matter what line you're in. Use his ideas in your reports, titles and in your headlines for your copy. Whenever you're stuck for a headline idea, try playing with the words: "How to" or "The Truth About" or "The Art of" or "Facts That You Should Know" or "The Key to.." or "The Story of" or "A Little Secret That." And plenty more you can dream up for yourself. Haldeman Julius was quite unique in what he did. He didn't write any books. He took what others had written. All he ever did was market them. And he did this by title only. There was no body copy just the titles. Another master of copywriting, David Ogilvy, used to write out his headlines and practice them on his friends and family. He is remembered for one stunning headline. But before he found it he had written 104 different headlines. That headline was, of course, his famous Rolls Royce copy: "At 60 Miles An Hour, the Loudest Noise in the New Rolls Royce comes from the Electric Clock." Take heart, if a pro like David Ogilvy had to write all those headlines and test them out on friends, that surely tells you something. David Ogilvy will also be remembered for his: "The Man in The Hathaway Shirt" which ran for 25 years. Also his Schweppes advertising campaign, where he persuaded the client, Commander Whitehead, to appear in his own advertisement and this ran for 18 years. His Ad for Rolls Royce remains as the most famous automobile advertisement of all time. He wrote two books: "Confessions of an Advertising Man" and "Ogilvy on Advertising." Some advertisers run without any headline at all because their creators think it's trendy or clever. Seldom will such an ad succeed. If advertisers were to test, they would know what works and what doesn't. Here's another point. A long headline that really says something is much, much better than a short headline that says nothing. And, arguably, the most famous headline of all time was written by John Caples: "They Laughed When I Sat Down at The Piano but When I Started to Play...." This ad was written for the U. S.School of Music and people are still copying it today. And shortly afterwards, Caples wrote another famous headline: "They Grinned When The Waiter Spoke To Me In French...But When They Heard My Reply.." Which was also written for an educational establishment. These headline ideas are still used to good effect now. Caples disliked humor in his ads and once said: “Only half the people in this country have a sense of humor, and clever ads seldom sell anything.” Before we leave the subject of headlines, the topic would not be complete without some reference to Maxwell Sackheim’s classic: “Do You Make These Mistakes in English?” You’ve probably read this headline somewhere but did you know it was originally titled: “Are You Afraid of Making Mistakes in English?” Obviously, the first headline out pulled the second one. But do you know why? And do you know which single word made all the difference? Hint; a headline that appeals to your reader’s self interest is the best type of headline. And if the headline also appeals to the reader’s wants, it almost can’t fail. These two appeals will make your reader want to read the copy. The word “these” is the single word that makes all the difference. That first headline aroused the reader’s self interest and curiosity. It suggests reading the copy to find out what “these” mistakes are and to avoid them. The second headline just suggests it is a stuffy old book on English grammar. And nobody wants to read any such type of book. Sackheim’s winning ad ran for 40 years, without interruption. A record that still hasn’t been broken. Great headlines sell. Period!

    Jh2 Best Jobs

Best Jobs Employers have said that they are more likely to be 12 percent more graduates this year than last year. It is the first projected increase since the year 2000. In another study, a projected 60 percent of US business plan to employ the same number of graduates this year as with last year. That is an increase of fifty five percent from last year, according to the CERI (Collegiate Employment Research Institute) at MSU. According to recent studies, US Corporations and businesses will employ more graduates with a bachelor’s degree in business, biological and physical sciences. Those with construction management, engineering degrees, health care and accounting will also experience an increase in hiring. Other fields will have a slight decline. On the average, companies are hiring forty three percent of its interns to fulltime and regular status. The expected increase in the hiring of graduates coincides with an expected growth forecast of the economy next year according to a recent survey by the Federal Reserve Bank. A lot of companies are coming out of a slump and are now hiring their interns and looking for more. A lot of companies are posting jobs and coming into different campuses. Most experts advise that during the holidays, whether you’re looking for permanent employment or internship, it is time to step up your search. Take advantage of the holiday events you’re going to, discuss what you’re looking for and your goals. Businesses don’t want to be flooded with calls and faxes of resumes. They will probably rely on word of mouth to get a handful of candidates The holidays are a perfect time to network. What to expect: Companies will hire more students earning bachelor’s degree in business and management, physical and biological sciences. Engineering, health care and accounting degrees also would experience an increase. Other degrees will experience a decrease in hiring Businesses expect to employ about the same volume of MBAs this year as last year. Businesses have found employees with bachelor's degrees being able to do some work being done by MBAs. It will be harder for graduates with computer science degrees to find work. Companies are more likely to employ students who have undergone internships. The work experience, they say, makes a lot of difference. Federal agencies will employ more graduates but not nearly enough to offset the decrease in hiring by the state and local government agencies. On average, starting salaries will increase by 1 to 2 percent.

Golf Clubs Getting The Perfect Fit

When it comes to golfing, not any old golf club will do for you. You know this if you have ever been on the golf course having make up for a club that is too long or not long enough. Besides adversely affecting you game, using golf clubs that do not fit your body can cause aches and pains after using them for a while. And if you are concentrating on making up for the poor fit of your clubs, then you probably aren’t focused on playing your best gold game. That doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to spend a lot of cash on custom fit golf clubs, though. While custom golf clubs are one way to go, you can probably find what you are looking for at a good golf store. But there are some things think about. Though the length of the club is important, it’s not all you need to consider. Professionals say that the size of the grip of your club should be comfortable in your hands. For this reason, clubs for younger players and women usually have a smaller grip. If you decide that a set of custom fit golf clubs is the way to go, there are some things to know. The aim is not just to make sure that the golf club reaches from your outstretched hand down to the ground, but also to make the most of your body and build as well. Getting a set of golf clubs custom fit is a process that takes some time. A proper fitting session should occur both indoors and out. The best custom fit golf clubs should be tailored so that the way swing is considered. This can become a costly endeavor. Although many golf club manufacturers will charge a high fee for the fitting session, many offer this service on a complementary, if you buy a set of golf clubs from them. While custom clubs are more expensive than a general set purchased from a shop or elsewhere, the cost will be worth it when you see the immediate improvement in your golf game. Think about the shots that you have been making since you started playing golf. If you’re taller or shorter than the average golfer, custom clubs can make all the difference. You might be wondering how long it takes to get a set of custom golf clubs in your bag. Many manufacturers of custom golf clubs can offer delivery within a few days, or often no more than a few weeks. There are few negative aspects of getting custom fit golf clubs. If you want to buy them for someone as a gift, or resell them someday, custom clubs are probably not the way to go. More than likely, the golfer who is going to receive the custom clubs will be surprised enough to get the fitting session, and most who go to this expense and trouble don’t usually sell them. Investing in custom fit golf clubs is entirely up to you. If you want to perfect your swing and are planning to buy a new set of clubs, custom clubs might be the best investment you can make!

Going Green The Imprinted Promotional Products Way

Using eco friendly green promotional products and renewable energy sources reduces greenhouse emissions that have a negative impact on our planet. Using solar; water and shake powered products such as Solar Flashlights helps keep batteries out of our landfills. Annually, nearly 3 Billion batteries are used and then thrown away by American households. Using biodegradable products reduces landfill build up. GREEN FACTS: According to the Container Recycling Institute, Americans used 4 billion pounds of plastic in the form of bottles in 2002. The main culprit is “use once & toss” water and beverage bottles. It takes a plastic water bottle 700 years before it starts to decompose. Why not “Go Green”…use a reusable Polycarbonate Sport Bottle from MyLogoImprinted. com instead. The average American family of four tosses out approx. 1,500 plastic bags a year. Each one can take up to 1,000 years to decompose. Most of these bags are not biodegrading; the plastic slowly breaks down into smaller components until it leaches into the soil or water. Paper bags are biodegradable but the energy, chemicals, trees and water consumed to recycle them is a drain on the environment. Why not “Go Green”…use reusable non woven bags, organic cotton bags, and natural jute bags for everyday use as you grocery shop or go to a business tradeshow. Since there are lots of ways to be Eco Responsible and use “Green Products” and it is not always clear what makes one approach better than the next, listed below are qualities and questions to help inform you on what makes a product eco friendly. Recycled – materials destined for disposal are reclaimed and converted into new products such as Polycarbonate Water Bottles, Non Woven Bags and Reusable Grocery Bags. Bioplastic – what percent of a product is made from a renewable resource so you won’t be mislead. Organic – what percentage is organic so you will not have to guess Natural – knowing when a product is made from materials and exactly what the ingredients are. Reusable – what products were created with intent to be used in place of a disposable item. Creating innovative “Green Products” for the future will be important by finding new ways of utilizing recycled materials that can corporately impact your business as well. Many corporations are taking up the call of being responsible by requesting eco friendly products and giving them away as marketing tools to let you know they are being responsible when it comes to promoting there company and taking up the call of making sound environmental choices. If we combine all of our individual and corporate efforts, together we can make a difference to our World today and more importantly we can make a difference to our future!
